Timothy M. Lindsey is a long-time artist and fan of science
fiction. He discovered his artistic talent while
unsuccessfully trying to describe the "Lost in Space" robot to a
classmate in kindergarten. Frustrated, he
picked up a pencil and simply drew a picture of it. Soon after, he started
building his first three-dimensional
robots and spaceships because he couldn't find toys or model kits of the ones
he wanted in stores.
After years of working to support his hobby,
Tim decided his hobby should support him. In 1994, he and his
wife took over management of a family-owned retail store and he began selling
his work. After two years, they
closed the store and took the business online to reach a wider customer base.
He now sells his work internationally.
